Lawyers vs. Hunger 2024

Lawyers vs Hunger launched in 2014 with one law firm and two food banks, delivering 12,000 meals to families in need. By 2023, it had grown into a powerful coalition, providing 367,778 meals through multiple law firms and food agencies. In 2024, with even more partners on board, the goal is to deliver over 400,000 meals locally to neighbors facing hunger.

Yolo County is the most agriculturally productive county in the Greater Sacramento region. Yet, despite its agricultural richness, it is also the most impoverished county in California. Our Yolo County Food Access survey report confirmed nearly one in three households in Yolo County are food insecure. Odds are that someone you know – it could be your neighbor, your coworker, your family member or friend – needs help putting food on the table.
