Yolo Food Bank

Today, Yolo Food Bank is recognizing Kathy Brunetti as one of the VIP Volunteers of this quarter! ⭐️

Kathy has gone above and beyond in service of her community. A volunteer of our Public Community Food Distribution in the City of West Sacramento parking lot, Kathy has garnered fame in the community, affectionately known as the "West Sac Bag Lady," for her tireless effort collecting used grocery bags to distribute to recipients, ensuring they have adequate supplies to transport their food. 🛍

Kathy joined Yolo Food Bank four years ago. "I saw a call for volunteers for the West Sacramento City Hall food distribution. I signed up to see what it was like. One Saturday was all it took—and I was hooked." 🤗

Kathy's favorite connection to the organization is its sense of community. "The organization itself is a community. Many of the other City Hall volunteers are regulars. We know each other. We help each other. We work well together. 'What a well-oiled machine!' a newbie told me. And—oh so important—we are valued as volunteers." 🍅

We are so grateful to all of our volunteers who completed service benchmarks this quarter as a part of our Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP)! Read more about the program here 👉 yolofb.org/vip 💚
