We’re thrilled to welcome Armando Salud-Ambriz to the Yolo Food Bank team as our new Director of External Relations!
“Armando’s unique perspective, shaped by his experience in public service and education, along with his deep connection to the Yolo County community and the region, make him the perfect person to help us share our story, build strong relationships, and inspire action,” said Karen Baker, CEO of Yolo Food Bank. “We are so excited to have him join our team!”
In this important role, Armando will serve as our spokesperson, direct fundraising efforts, and oversee the Development and Communications team while building the government relations program. He brings, not just expertise, but also a contagious energy and enthusiasm for the mission of nourishing our community.
A Career Supporting the Community
Armando has dedicated his career to public service in Yolo County combining leadership, advocacy, and a passion for community impact.
Now more than ever, Yolo Food Bank’s work needs strong support and advocacy. Federal funding cuts and the growing urgency to meet the food insecurity need in our region present a new challenge in ensuring everyone in our community has enough to eat. Armando’s leadership will play a key role in meeting this mission by raising awareness, cultivating partnerships, and helping us bring resources and attention to our organization.
“I’m honored and excited to join Yolo Food Bank and to help amplify the incredible work this team does every day to nourish our neighbors,” said Armando. “I look forward to building relationships, raising awareness, and helping our community come together around this important role.”
We’re excited for you to meet Armando and to see all the great things we’ll accomplish together to address food insecurity in Yolo County!
